The Ilkley Honey Company focuses on ethical practices, prioritising bee welfare, improved biodiversity and colony survival over maximising honey output.

We supply a limited batch of luxury seasonal wildflower and heather honey from across the moors, rivers and meadows of Ilkley and the greater Wharfe Valley.

    • Focus on Yorkshire Black Bees and local strains
    • We don't feed our Bees sugar syrup, ensuring the colony feeds only on the enzyme and nutrient-rich honey.
    • We operate treatment Free Beekeeping, with no chemicals!
    • We encourage Natural Cycles (swarming, drone build up etc)
    • No clipping or marking Queens + allowing her majesty to live out her entire 3/4 years...
